Where I've been and Everything In Between!

Well holy wowsers Brainiacs!!!! It’s been a whole 4 months since my last blog post! This year so far has presented me with some amazing experiences and everything seems to be flying by so fast!!

First I would like to congratulate everyone that has participated in Hydrocephalus Awareness Month!! It has been so fantastic to see so many people get involved work together to achieve one goal! You all should be very proud of yourselves! You guys are MY Hydro Heroes!!

The Brain Drain Project was also ecstatic to hit the 300 like mark on our facebook page during this month! Such an amazing effort and we are so grateful for all the support we have received in such a short time of running this website! http://www.facebook.com/TheBrainDrainProject

Back in July The Brain Drain Project was in the papers again for raising Hydro Awareness. This time it was with the outstanding support from The Kimberly Clark Millicent and Tantanoola Social Club, who presented us with a whopping $3,000 cheque to go towards Hydrocephalus Awareness!! We at The Brain Drain Project cannot thank them enough for their generosity!

Progress on The Adventures Of Hydro Girl has been coming along really well! We are now up to the colouring stages of the process! And I don’t want to get you all too excited but we have also begun planning for Issue 2! Lol. I aim to have the comic fully coloured by the end of November. John has also been working on an amazing cover page design which is going to look so awesome when it is finished!

As most people know, a couple of weeks ago our band Calling Utopia travelled to New Zealand for our first international tour! It was seriously the best experience of my life! A long the way I thought it would be a great opportunity to create some Hydrocephalus Awareness in another country. Our good friends from the band we were touring with (Ninja Monkey) were awesome enough to all wear PBD tees along with all the peeps from our band for a day! We all walked around proudly and best of all we got people talking and asking questions! We also wore our tees to a few shows and once again got asked about it! Big win for Hydro Awareness!

Lastly but definitely not least The Brain Drain Project is excited to announce its major fundraiser for the year! BOWLING FOR BRAINS! Bowling for brains will be held at Gambier City Bowl who have been just amazingly supportive of Hydrocephalus Awareness. It will be held on the 27th of Oct and starts at 6pm! It’s going to be a fantastic night! Everyone that participates gets a free PBD t-shirt and there is a raffle being run on the night! If you cannot get there on the night, you can go in during the week before between the 20th of Oct and 27th of Oct and mention that it is for The Brain Drain Project and proceeds will still go towards The Hydrocephalus Association of Australia. It’s going to be a night full of fun for the whole family so don’t miss out!

Well I think that is it for me for another blog. Until next time my lovely Brain Drainers, I hope you all stay well. Lots of Hydro Love to you all.
